The garden are a particular pride of the nursery  and along with the conservatories are used throughout the year by children of all ages.  The garden provides an area for physical exercise and play for children, some of whom have no access to a garden at home. We strongly believe that it an essential asset to the nursery as a learning area and is treated as a classroom area with its own planning.  Many exciting activities, some wet and dirty take place outside and we encourage families to ensure children have several changes of weather appropriate clothes and outside boots and coats suitable for the English weather.  Please ensure all belongings are clearly named.

 

We have climbing frames, musical instruments, mud kitchens, digging pits,bicycles and other outdoor play items, as well as having areas for art, reading and quiet times.  Weather  permitting we have snacks outside as well as planned  special activities.
